Pardon the excessive alliteration in today’s title. I simply couldn’t help myself.
Today’s featured feline is the fishing cat native to Southeast Asia. They primarily dwell in and around wetlands, rivers, swamps, and other regions with lots of water. As the name suggests, their main source of prey is fish!
Despite the stereotype, there are many species of cats that enjoy going for a swim, but none take to the water quite like the fishing cat. They are excellent swimmers, even over long distances, and can even dive underwater. Don’t be fooled by their adorable faces though, they’re highly aggressive. No matter how friend-shaped, fishing floofs are not friends!
